Mecano was initially dispersed by the Nebiolo type foundry in Turin, Italy. It is a set of geometric pieces which can be integrated by the compositor as he chooses.

The basis for this digital version was a specimen revealing the construction of narrow upper case and figures. Diacritics and punctuation are an individual development of the initial typeface, gotten from the exact same standard parts. The exact same uses to the Serif version, which was also developed from the Mecano pieces, however were not on the initial model.
