Merrivale is an ideal example of the advantages of keeping ones eyes open- it was inspired by the gilt-finished raised lettering on a late Victorian shopsign in Melbourne, Australia. The family of seven faces consist of upper and lower case types, small capitals, all capital kinds, and flamboyant display forms. All faces are offered in incised kinds motivated by the original lettering as well as in solid black filled kinds. These typefaces are terrific for signs where either a period air or a dignified but readable feel are required. They also lend themselves to other screen utilizes such as posters, book covers and so forth and are perfect for the title lines of certificates.
