Merrivaux is a blackletter font household. This typeface has two designs and was published by Greater Albion Typefounders.

Some time ago, when we were dealing with our Merrivale family, it occurred to us that an adaptation of the design, integrating selected Blackletter aspects, would be in the best traditions of 19th and 20th century blackletter revivals, which integrate all the spirit of the middle ages with contemporary legibility-think of Goudy Middle ages as an example. When it comes to Merrivaux (highest quality faux-medieval name there!) we've produced a typeface which has the ready legibility of Roman entitling, but which offers a subtle blackletter feel. The routine type of Merrivaux is incised with a noticeable midline, a solid type with similar metrics is likewise used. Both types consist of a variety of opentype features including ligatures, portions, old style characters and terminal types. Merrivaux is perfect for posters, signage and design work, where a touch of that ‘‘ Olde-Worlde' feel is needed.
