Mezalia is a one of a kind typeface. Its shapes were highly influenced by bastarda scripts of high medieval times. However unlike many typefaces sharing similar origin, Mezalia is not simply another blackletter however a completely practical text typeface, blending medieval grace and character with modern-day sensibilities. Stroke widths, imitating a broad nibbed pen of a scribe, fluctuate continuously offering paragraphs a characteristic vibrating texture. Regardless of it's strong character Mezalia is very understandable and will be an excellent option for a book or an elegant magazine.
Mezalia has two unique styles: straight and cursive, which are available in seven weights, from thin to black. Each weight contains a set of old-style figures, lining figures, little caps and ligatures. A different design including drop-cap initials is likewise available.
