Breaking from our brochure of typefaces to develop a new handwritten font household, Modern Love was born out of our desire to see what would occur if we took an action back from the norm. We weren't trying to find the excellence of the lots of calligraphy strategies, but more of a natural method of writing with the exact same tools. Our escapist experiment into casual lettering culminated into 4 fonts: Modern Love Routine, Grunge, Rough and Caps.

Modern Love Regular is a hand-painted script, each glyph separately created with a pointed brush and walnut ink. The goal was to develop an effortless hand-drawn feel while keeping the contrast high density.

Playful, yet polished, this font works very well when highlighted with the family's two distinct styles: Modern Love Grunge, simulating a washed-out effect, ideal to include a classic seek to your tasks; and Modern Love Rough, with its crunchy borders, makes letters noticeably rough-around-the edges and gives large letters an unmistakeable pop. All 3 font styles consist of a hand-painted set of accessories, swashes and alternates to limitlessly customize and embellish your texts, accessible through Opentype features.

Modern Love Caps is the 4th typeface, a handwritten Sans Serif that connects the household together with its simplicity and readability. Developed with a pointed nib and Indian ink, this typeface boasts a various design that completely complements Modern Love Regular, Grunge and Rough.

The result is a fresh font style family ideal to produce headings, posters, DIY hand-lettered artwork, books, vacation cards, covering paper, invitations, T-shirts, labels, product packaging for cosmetics, fashion supplies, food, artisanal products, and an endless array of choices for your tasks.
