Publisher: Resistenza.esBreaking from our brochure of typefaces to develop a new handwritten font style family, Modern Love was born out of our desire to see what would take place if we took an action back from the standard. We weren't looking for the excellence of the many calligraphy techniques, however more of a natural method of writing with the exact same tools. Our escapist experiment into casual lettering culminated into 4 fonts: Modern Love Regular, Grunge, Rough and Caps.
Modern Love Routine is a hand-painted script, each glyph separately created with a pointed brush and walnut ink. The goal was to develop an uncomplicated hand-drawn feel while keeping the contrast high density.
Playful, yet polished, this typeface works effectively when emphasized with the family's two distinct styles:
Modern Love Grunge, simulating a washed-out effect, ideal to include a classic look to your projects; and Modern Love Rough, with its crunchy borders, makes letters noticeably rough-around-the edges and offers big letters an unmistakeable pop.
All three typefaces consist of a hand-painted set of ornaments, swashes and alternates to limitlessly customize and decorate your texts, accessible through Opentype functions.
.Modern Love Caps is the fourth font style, a handwritten Sans Serif that connects the household together with its simplicity and readability. Created with a pointed nib and Indian ink, this font style boasts a various style that completely matches Modern Love Regular, Grunge and Rough.
