Monterey PopDesigner: Keith Bates
Designed by Keith Bates, Monterey Pop is a retro font family. This typeface has 3 designs and was published by K-Type.

Monterey Pop oozes 1960s freedom and optimism, and is based on Tom Wilkes's poster lettering for the Monterey International Pop Celebration in June 1967, the event which declared the legendary Summer of Love.

The font styles consist of a newly-designed lowercase and a full enhance of Latin Extended-A characters. In addition to the typical font style, Outline and Thinline variations with matching spacing and kerning are provided for usage individually or overlapped with the routine font style for bicolor effects. The Summary font is best for darker lines, and the Thinline font is created for white and tinted details which can tend to halo and appear somewhat bolder.
