Monterey Pop was developed by Keith Bates and released by K-Type. Monterey Pop consists of 3 styles and household bundle choices. p >

Monterey Pop oozes 1960s freedom and optimism, and is based upon Tom Wilkes's poster lettering for the Monterey International Pop Festival in June 1967, the occasion which heralded the famous Summer of Love.

The font styles include a newly-designed lowercase and a full complement of Latin Extended-A characters. In addition to the typical font style, Overview and Thinline variations with matching spacing and kerning are provided for usage individually or overlapped with the routine typeface for bicolor effects. The Summary font style is best for darker lines, and the Thinline typeface is developed for white and tinted details which can tend to halo and appear slightly bolder.
