Mr Jones was initially developed as a household for print design including a sans and a headline. The lowercase are large for legibility at small sizes while the caps are narrower to save area and keep an even balance of negative area when used in body copy. The total widths of specific characters have been changed to practically extremes to keep an even balance of white space around each letter. He works well in body copy, but will need reduced tracking for larger settings. He comes with small caps; proportional, oldstyle, and tabular figures and discretionary ligatures.
