The principle of a strong linked script with a hand lettered feel has been on my bucket-list for decades. I pictured a pompous, ornate, swashy look, a variety of word-end decorations, stacks of ligatures and highlights. It took a weekend workshop on Python Scripting at Type@Cooper in San Francisco to strengthen the smarts of Opentype to make it take place. Hand drawn on paper using pen strokes for recommendation, the style was the easy part. The real work was in the back-end and strenuous screening that followed. This is a display typeface meant for welcoming cards, logo designs, signage and poster headings.
