Nastarkib was developed by Saad Abulhab and published by Arabetics. Nastarkib consists of 4 styles and family package options. p > An isolated typeface style with a calligraphic flavor. The Nastarkib typeface household utilizes visual functions from the Urdu Persian Nastaliq Calligraphy. Visual connectivity is accomplished by overlapping glyphs with downward slopes. This font household has 4 members consisting of typical and vibrant weights with 2 styles each, regular and left-slanted italic designs. This typeface family design follows the guidelines of Mutamathil Taqlidi type style with one glyph for every single standard Arabic Unicode character or letter, as specified in the most current Unicode Standards, and one additional final form glyph, for the freely-connecting letters in traditional Arabic cursive text. Nastarkib employs variable x-height values. It includes only the Lam-Alif ligatures. Soft-vowel diacritic marks, harakat, are selectively positioned. The majority of them appear by default on the same level, following a letter, to make sure that they would not interfere visually with letters. Tatweel is a zero-width glyph. Keying the tatweel key prior to Alif-Lam-Lam-Ha will display the Allah ligature. Nastarkib consists of both Arabic and Arabic-Indic characters, in addition to basic punctuations.
