Created by Vladimir Yefimov, New Requirement is a serif font style family. This typeface has 4 designs and was published by ParaType.

Designed at Polygraphmash type style bureau circa 1940 (project supervisor Anatoly Shchukin). Based upon text typefaces of the late 19th and early 20th centuries of Obyknovennaya (‘‘ Common') group. The digital variation was established at ParaType (ParaGraph) in 1996 by Vladimir Yefimov. At first developed for a collection of works by Lenin, this typeface was widely used in Soviet Union for technical and clinical books, both for text and display.
