I implied it as a revival of the typeface used by the New Yorker publication. I did not scan it in, I simply took a look at the type and redrew it completely by hand. So it is not just a copy, but rather a redesign. Only much later on did I come to know, that there is a package of comparable typefaces of that duration. Rea Irvin's design for New-Yorker publication was simply one of them, however the best.
Lately I looked at the font styles and found, that they ought to be worked over, what I did. I added a Swashes set for each weight and typically tidied up the style. Plus I made the total Latin set, so that all European nations can use it. (Other Than for the Greeks and Russians, sorry!)
Yours, truly again honoring Rea Irvin, a great type- and magazine-designer.
