Newstyle was designed by Steve Matteson and released by Matteson Typographics. Newstyle contains 2 styles and family package choices. p > Goudy's Newstyle typeface was desiged in 1921 started as an experiment in creating a phoentic alphabet with various shapes for letters depending upon their unique sound. The style is highly affected by the Venetian Romans of Aldus which Goudy believed to be the most readable letterforms. Steve Matteson digitized the roman faithfully to Goudy's initial and developed the companion italic in the spirit of Goudy's style.
