Art Deco typography and the streamlined design it welcomed frequently summons images of New York City in the 1930s and 1940s, therefore On the Town JNL is called for the traditional MGM musical stellar Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Jules Munchen that was filmed on place in 'the city that never sleeps'.
