The beginning point for the concept of this ‘‘ Origami' inspired font style was to represent each character using a strip of folded paper as the basic property. It was realized completely by including an incised line. Obviously, the folded paper element is simply a 2 dimensional impression but unconsciously individuals will automatically analyze the typeface 3 dimensionally.
There are many and differed choices for developing alternative characters following this reasoning, as the centuries-old Origami tradition itself highlights rather plainly, but I wished to maintain an ordered sense of style and balance throughout the full character set, thus being true to the Japanese ethos and spirit.
