Eight years later, his collection of typefaces has become a giant brochure of display type varying from Wood Type revivals to Art Nouveau, Art Deco to stencil, reinterpretations of old favorites, experimental fonts, dingbat typefaces and typefaces reflecting a particular decade's styles of cultural appeal. Styles from old lettering books, type brochures and marketing have likewise been fodder for many alphabets not previously readily available in a digital format.
Along the way, many uncommon lettering sources were likewise mined for type ideas. Classic packaging, hand-lettered signs, sign making packages, rubber stamp type, water applied decals and sometimes simply a particular letter example inspired much of the releases within this collection.
It gave pride for Jeff Levine Fonts to reach 500 releases and a determined objective to grow the type library as far as possible. With this in mind, February 2014 brings forth lots of brand-new releases. This one in specific, Ornery Polecat JNL, is the 800th typeface release from Jeff.
