Ovink is a rounded type family developed for country mile legibility. Called after the legibility scientist Gerrit Willem Ovink, in it's early stages underwent speculative legibilty examinations of distance and time threshold methods. The outcomes of this heavily influence the style. The high consistency of the letters also makes the typeface suitable for running text and the wide span of weights inspires a broad usage for the setting of both screen and text.
