Platten is based on lettering discovered in German water fountain pen practice books from the 1920s (you might have seen the comparable Speedball books in the US). This round tip pen lettering is equivalent to the standard forms utilized in grade school teaching alphabets, but with a few initial qualities. The Italic variation has even more of these unusual features.
Geometric and basic yet casual and classic. Perfect for many uses.
