The Stanyan Household consists of a series of font styles produced in association with our friend and Beatsville collaborator, Mr. Rod McKuen. In 1999, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the famous 1959 ‘‘ Beastville' LP of spoken word and poetry by Rod McKuen, P22 reissued the LP on CD in a special arrangement with the Stanyan Music group. In 2003, the reissue of the ‘‘ In Browse of Eros' LP followed. Each of the CD releases contained an accompanying font style created particularly for the particular project; Daddy-O Beatsville, a set of distinctively stylized illustrations illustrating the American bohemian culture of the 1950's and Stanyan Eros, an all-caps titling font style that includes illustrations based on art work from different McKuen books,
.The Stanyan Set of roman-styled typefaces is created in the same design as Daddy-O Beatsville and has the unique feature of being extremely understandable at little point sizes and also really decorative and questionable at larger sizes. Stanyan Autumn is based upon casual hand lettering text developed by Anthony Goldschmidt for the luxurious 1969 edition of the book "... and autumn came" by Rod McKuen.
.The casual hand lettering style works well at all sizes but specifically big settings. The title lettering from this book was provided as the P22 Stanyan Eros font style. Stanyan Autumn Extras consists of pictures of fall leaves, snippets of pastoral scenes, and numerous McKuen-related icons.
