My dad, Leslie Willson, had a long, distinguished career as a professor of Germanic languages-- with an unique interest in contemporary German arts and letters. (His DIMENSION literary publication, 1968-- 1994, is famous in the field.) About the time he retired from teaching, he also retired from composing in longhand after I turned his clear script into a digital typeface. Teacher is a slightly modified version of my daddy's cursive hand, a good, strong, useful, friendly, personable hand-- similar to the man himself. OpenType functions include various ligatures that more closely match genuine cursive script, as well as assistance for Central and Eastern European Languages.
