Children was designed by Russell Bean and published by Type Associates. Kids consists of 3 styles and household package options. p > Progeny is a single-stroke freehand informal script that began life as a logo design for a junk food business. That logo was turned down however when I included a suite of swash caps and a couple of additional ligatures and my hallmark underlines everything started to come together as a typeface. Then I utilized it effectively for another logo and I continued to complete the weight variations that emerged during the very first logo style, rounding the lighter weights to provide a more friendly, softer look. That treatment didn't fit the strong weight but sharp corners did not diminish the robust, legible headliner that emerged. All weights work in all-lowercase, all-capitals, reduces with swash or routine initial caps and surprisingly-- in all-caps with swash initials.
