Quercus 10 was developed by František Štorm and published by Storm. Quercus 10 consists of 14 styles and family plan options. p > Quercus is characterised by open, yet a bit condensed drawing with enough spacing so that the neighbouring letters never touch. It has 8 interpolated weights with particular italics. Their fine gradation allows to find a specific valeur for any type of design, particularly online. Quercus serif designs took motivation from classicistic typefaces with vertical shadows, ball terminals and thin serifs. The italics have the exact same width percentage as upright styles. This "modern" mindset is applied to both families and requires usage on the same page, e g in dictionaries and cultural programs. Serif designs marked by "10" are devoted to textual point sizes and long reading. The sans-serif concept is rather minimalistic, with subtle shadows and thinned joints between curved shapes and stems. Quercus family consists of the typical functionality such as Small Caps, Cyrillics, diacritics, ligatures, scientific and aesthetic variations, swashes, and other bells & & whistles. It excels in informative and magazine design, corporate identity and branding, but it's extremely well fit for book covers, catalogues and posters as well.

When selecting a name for this typeface I've been staring out from my studio window, thinking helplessly with no concept in sight. All of a sudden I realised that all I can see is a spectacular alley of oaks (Quercus in Latin) surrounding my house. These oaks were planted by the home builders of regional ponds under the leadership of Jakub Krčín in the fifteenth century.
