ReciaDesigner: Carlos de Toro
Publisher: Indian Type Foundry
Recia was designed by Carlos de Toro and published by Indian Type Foundry. Recia includes 10 styles and household plan options. p > Recia is Carlos De Toro's debut typeface with ITF. Recia is a contemporary-style serif. The family comes in 10 styles, and its five Italic font styles are 'true-italic' styles, which feature a cursive-structure in the letters. Its x-height is pretty high and the characters are a little condensed, with strokes that are rather low-contrast. In the lighter weights, hardly any stroke contrast is visible in between the thick and thin portions of the letters, however in the Strong weights, stroke contrast is clear, however the thinner strokes are still rather chunky. The serifs all take wedge-shapes. Each font style includes 516 glyphs, and the character set deals users several figure designs by means of OpenType functions. The default character variations are proportional oldstyle figures. Recia is optimised for use in running text, especially in less-than-optimal printing environments were strong letterforms are required.
