Remsen Script is a historical and script typeface released by 3 Islands Press.

The 1765 Stamp Act ignited in American colonists a simmering wonder about of the distant British Parliament, whose oppressive trade responsibilities they considered unreasonable attacks on their rights as English subjects. Prior to long, of course, this little dustup generated The Boston Tea ceremony, the American Transformation, and the birth of the U. S. of A.

But prior to the Fights of Lexington and Concord, a group of Philadelphia merchants made one desperate require commercial cooperation throughout the Atlantic. This futile appeal endures to this day on a three-page broadside, finely absorbed by a penman of the duration and passed down through the generations of a household named Remsen.

Remsen Script is an analysis of that penman's neat, official cursive-- from its broad antique flourishes to its subtle unevenness and gently ragged strokes. Perfect for event announcements, fine item packaging, leisures of historic documents, or anywhere you want to use a whiff of a bygone era.

OpenType features include alternate uppercase styles, scores of genuine ligatures, lining and old-style figures, ink blots, accessories, and complete Central/Eastern European alphabets.
