Rick Griffin is a screen and blackletter font style household. This typeface has three designs and was released by K-Type.

The Rick Griffin typefaces are based on the 1960s psychedelic poster lettering of the Californian artist Rick Griffin.

The letterforms are stemmed from his most celebrated posters of the late sixties, in specific the archetypical Jimi Hendrix/John Mayall ‘‘ flying eyeball' poster of 1968.

Rick Griffin Contour has the extra outline quality of lots of Griffin posters and comes with a separate Rick Griffin Contour Ground font of similar spacing and kerning, which allows colour overlays to be created.
