Rilke was developed by Daniel Pelavin and released by Pelavin Fonts. Rilke consists of 1 design. p > Rilke is an adaptation of the lettering utilized by Gustav Klimt on his poster for the first Vienna Secession exhibit in 1898 and is named for Klimt's contemporary the poet Rainer Maria Rilke. The Vienna Secession was a group of artists who operated in a variety of designs under the banner of the phrase 'to every age its art and to art its liberty.' Their goal was to create a brand-new style that was not based upon any historic impact (yeah, like that's ever going to occur).

Its subtle curving strokes and the idiosyncratic set of the different characters create a classy lightness which lends itself well to poetry, engraving and entitling.
