Developed by Henrique Beier, Rocher is a screen sans font family. This typeface has 9 designs and was released by Harbor Type.

Rocher was developed while searching for an answer to a basic concern: what would a typeface appearance like if it was made of stone? It definitely would look solid, however did we have to include cracks and rubble so it would resemble rocks? We didn't believe so.

We decided to tackle the issue a different method. We included corners where there generally aren't any and threw some uncommon letterforms into the mix. The result is a typeface that feels like stone, but if you look carefully there is nothing naturally stony about it. Unforeseen corners offer simply the ideal amount of roughness, while unusual letterforms give the text a casual visual, traces of something naive and handmade.

A household was born when the sturdy letterforms were developed into a series of lively layers. With 9 fonts in overall, Rocher can be combined and matched to develop special layered structures that include depth to the layout.

We developed Rocher to be used in logotypes, packaging, mobile apps and headlines. We are positive you will discover another handful of circumstances where it can shine.
