Created by Rian Hughes, Rutherford is a serif typeface household. This typeface has ten styles and was published by Device.

Rutherford is clear, robust and reliable, and reads well at little text sizes while likewise having the required heft for bigger headlines. A large variety of weights makes it a flexible choice for publications, branding, pamphlets and advertising.

A a little condensed obround serif with squared stroke terminals. The t, j and f curve around to balance with the terminals on the a and g, as does the tail of the Q. The italic integrates cursive kinds on completions of the lower right and upper left strokes, and utilizes a single-story a.

Includes full European Latin support and alternate styles for the Q and g in all weights.
