Sagona is a modern slab serif building on the clarendon/ionic model going back to the 19th century. Like its most famous representative Clarendon, Sagona includes strong serifs and a variable stroke contrast leading to a versatile typeface working excellent in headings and little text sizes. Where excellent typefaces like Guard, Belizio or FF Hertz are staying near to the industrial and strict look, Sagona is concentrating on a warm and welcoming approach, stressing a subtle elegance specifically in the mid weights.The family can be found in 9 weights with matching real italics. It is geared up with a large set of alternative glyphs, ligatures, old style numbers, initials and finitials, two sets of arrows and a lot more opentype functions making it a best choice for expert type setting.
