Salto was designed by Karlgeorg Hoefer and released by Linotype. Salto contains 2 designs and family bundle options. p > Salto was established by Karlgeorg Hoefer and presented in 1952 by the foundry Gebr. Klingspor in Offenbach. The capital letters were drawn with a brush, the lower case with a broad-tipped pen established by Hoefer especially for the task. Salto shows the Zeitgeist of the 1950s, appearing regularly in advertisements throughout the years of the Wirtschaftswunder. The typeface's luxury and vibrant quality develop from the contrast between the strong, zestful capitals and the more reserved lower case letters.
