Sanvito is an upright script typeface created by Robert Slimbach in 1993. Named after one of the principal scribes of the Italian Renaissance, Sanvito is based upon the highly useful book hands of the Renaissance humanists. It was developed to combine the spontaneity and vitality of calligraphic writing with the clarity and usefulness of a more official typeface. Sanvito can be utilized for screen settings and for casual purposes such as correspondence, flyers, and letterheads.
