These hybrid qualities provide a slightly exotic appearance to a few of the tidy, timeless types, hence the decision to utilize the onomatopoeic pun when naming the font.

Sanzibar's split personality is further boosted by the addition of swashed and stylistic alternates which let the user decorate and personalise text settings with ease, altering the dynamic of any design or document instantly. This ability to morph itself on the fly is a crucial attribute of Sanzibar, shapeshifting from traditional to flamboyant styling via the comprehensive glyph palette.
