Publisher: Three Islands PressI happened to discuss to the owner of an antiques barn near here one day that I 'd have an interest in any old typewriters she may happen to come across. A discussion took place, the owner withdrew into a back space, and she re-emerged with an old handwritten letter, dated 18 Sept. 1825 and covering nearly 3 pages. The letter-- penned by Samuel Clarke, a Princeton, Massachusetts, pastor-- looked for contributions for the victims of an accident at sea. Clarke's curls and loops and long descenders seemed to typify the neat, unique penmanship of the duration. Schooner Script has a single, medium weight; OpenType features consist of many basic and discretionary ligatures, real fractions, lining and tabular figures, and support for Central and Eastern European languages.
