Secca is a fresh and flexible typeface series. With its workhorse qualities, Secca is perfectly matched for a large variety of applications-- particularly where legibility and economy are very important factors.
Secca is rooted in the tradition of early German Grotesk typefaces, but is tailored for the requirements these days, with a large language assistance and lots of typographic features and extras.
The core household comes in 9 weights from Thin to Ultra Black-- plus another 3 Hairline weights-- each with italics, small caps and italic little caps. While the weights from Light to Strong carry out well in text sizes, the extremer styles offer additional typographic flexibility for Headlines and Signage.
For setting tables and charts, Secca provides tabular figures, fractions, currency indications and mathematic operators which share the very same set width throughout the whole series of weights. This special feature is called "weight duplexing" and is a time saver for designers of annual reports and other figure-heavy texts.
