SFPL was created by Sumner Stone and released by Stone Type Foundry. SFPL consists of 7 designs and household bundle alternatives. p > The SFPL family was developed as part of a visual identity program for the San Francisco Public Library.

It is planned as an affordable, simple to utilize, highly legible typeface household for releasing newsletters, pamphlets, pamphlets, annual reports and the like.

Together with Cycles, Stone Print, and Arepo it makes up a superfamily of typefaces.
