Shàngó Gothic was created by Jason Castle and released by CastleType. Shàngó Gothic consists of 4 styles and family plan choices. p > Shàngó is CastleType's beautifully-rendered interpretation of Professor F.H.E. Schneidler's stylish entitling typeface released in 1936 with the name 'Schneidler-Mediaeval mit Initialen'. This latter design is normally referred to as Schneidler Initials.

Although early on Medium and Bold weights were included to the rather delicate design of Shàngó, it appeared there were other possibilities that might be useful for display screen use.

So, for the last couple of years I have actually been working on and off on a monoline version of Shàngó. This brand-new style preserves the timeless letterforms of the initial, but its fairly even strokes offers it a more strong appearance, making it beneficial where a more contemporary, manly look is needed.

This new family is called Shango Gothic and is readily available in 4 weights: Regular, Medium, Strong, and Extra Bold.

Shàngó Gothic belongs to the extended Shàngó family (Traditional, Chiseled, Sans, Gothic).

Font Family:
· Shango Gothic Regular
