Slavia Press/Repress is an extension of Slavia and playfully describes initial letterpressed specimens. The whole system includes 2 sub-families (Press and Repress), consisting of 3 designs (Light, Semibold, Fat) consisting of italics. That makes 12 designs, which can be integrated together. Obviously, the typeface utilizes contextual options, so the nearby letters and numbers look various.
Slavia was initially motivated by wide-spread grotesque styles from the 1910s. You can discover such typefaces on advertisement posters, newspapers, children's books and avant-garde collages. However, the original typographic shapes served us just as a basis for a brand-new and energetic drawings.
Slavia consists of a zeitgeist of its time, but don't anticipate any fond memories. This is one of the really universal typefaces which will constantly stand out.
