Stabia was created by Olcar Alcaide and published by Eurotypo. Stabia contains 10 styles and family plan choices. p > Stabia is a multi-purpose typeface with large wedge-angular serifs. It is fragile and extremely readable at really small sizes but reveals all its strength and character when used at big sizes. The contrast of the sharped serifs supplies a fresh and very contemporary look.

The household has 5 weights, varying from Light to Black (including italics) and is ideally fit for advertising and product packaging, book text, editorial and publishing, logo and branding, little text as well as web and epub.

Stabia offers innovative typographical assistance with features such as ligatures, little capitals, alternate characters, case-sensitive types, portions, and super- and subscript characters.

It features a total range of figure set options-- oldstyle and lining figures, each in tabular and proportional widths. As well as Latin-based, the typeface family likewise supports Central European languages.

Stabiae was an ancient Roman town, located close to the contemporary town of Castellammare di Stabia roughly 4.5 km southwest of Pompeii. According to the account written by his nephew, Pliny the Senior citizen was at the opposite of the bay in Misenum when the Mount Vesuvius eruption began. He took a trip by galley ship across the bay, partly to observe the eruption more carefully, and partly to rescue people from the coast near the volcano. Pliny passed away at Stabiae the following day, probably throughout the arrival of the 6th and biggest pyroclastic surge of the eruption triggered by the collapse of the eruption plume.
