Stamen was developed by Ian Lynam and published by Wordshape. Endurance consists of 12 styles and family package choices. p > Stamen is the answer to a huge question: What would occur if one attempted to produce a typeface that was 'out of time'? If a type designer was to turn off the internet and put away the type specimens and just try to check out limbic, phantom history, what may that look like?

No slavish expeditions of the past. No gropings toward the future. No extensive core sample of the contemporary. Rather, utilizing what one keeps in mind of history and our cumulative vision of the future (normally a future pictured from the past) and directing that into something that is, hopefully, new ... The Bentons satisfy Frutiger for a Manhattan on an area station while Matthew Carter sways to the sweet noises of the chorale that sometimes played through the halls of Stephenson Blake.

This smear of implicit history expressed without explicit reference-this is Stamen: a family of 12 typefaces with a lot of alternate characters.

The strong weight was created for the LP "I Idea the Future Would Be Cooler" (http://ittfwbc.com/) by the band YACHT in reaction to their request for a typeface that was 'lost in time', and describes neither strict historical models nor purely futuristic types.

I built a little household out from there. It works well in text, however just as well for display setting. I believe you'll delight in using it.
