Stevens Titling was developed by Ryuichi Tateno, John Stevens and released by Linotype. Stevens Titling contains 8 styles and family bundle alternatives. p > Stevens Titling describes the traditional Roman alphabet as it appears on the Trajan column and many other monuments. With its practical brush strokes, it reveals the letterforms as they may have been sketched on the marble before the stonecutter grabbed his hammer and chisel.

The 4 fonts that constitute the Stevens Titling suite are named after animals - badger, boar, sable and wolf--, each known for the particular character of its hairs when used to make painting brushes.

Sable Brush is the most formal and stylish, with strong kinds which show no apparent trace of the handdrawn brush stroke; it comes with a set of little capitals for those classical titles chosen by Hollywood. In fact, each of these typefaces would do a fantastic job as a movie title and poster typeface. The Badger Brush version is compact and firm; Boar Brush is remarkable, and in Wolf Brush each part of the letter is comprised of sensible, dry strokes.
