Studio Gothic was designed by Francesco Canovaro, Cosimo Pancini, Andrea Tartarelli and published by Zetafonts. Studio Gothic includes 24 styles and household package alternatives. p > Studio Gothic is a geometric sans typeface that takes inspiration from the concepts utilized by Alessandro Butti for his historic typeface Semplicità (simplicity in Italian) developed in the 1930s.

More a reinvention than a revival, Studio Gothic keeps the very little and bare style reasoning of the original typeface while proposing many initial takes on letter shapes and proportions, with the aim to create a typeface that looks traditional but unexpected, a little modernist but still contemporary and fresh. These principles have been used likewise in the style of the buddy italics, including minor calligraphic aspects and making the italic weights appropriate for screen and logo design use.
