Stuffed T-shirt JNL gets its name from a term promoted throughout the years when the Art Deco period thrived. The Great Depression even more broadened the gap in between the ‘‘ haves' and the ‘ have nots'. Periodically, some of those that ‘‘ had' (and some who pretended they did) came off as standoffish, egotistical and pompously conceited.

Such people were described as a "packed t-shirt"; a blowhard who thought he was much better than others.

In this case, Stuffed Shirt JNL is no more than a dual-line adaptation of Playwright JNL, itself an analysis of the classic Broadway type style in a manner that replicates the hand lettering of old-time sign painters.
