Svengali Roman is a retro font style household. This typeface has four styles and was released by Greater Albion Typefounders.

Svengali Roman is loosely influenced by a scrap of 1920s newspaper published in the Typophile typeface identification online forum. The agreement view there favoured the view that the specimen revealed hand-drawn lettering. As that lettering had such charm and character Greater Albion chose to fill the space and style a face loosely based on it. Svengali Roman is the outcome and makes an exceptional face for eye catching duration poster design, or for any headings and titles. Svengali Roman has now been broadened to a full family, including regular and strong weights along with incised (a hand tooled appearance) and newsprint (weathered used type with ink bleeds) styles.
