Turned on was created by Alex Kaczun and published by Type Developments. Changed On includes 2 styles and household plan choices. p > Turned on and Turned off where two fonts developed by placing points on a pre-defined square grid design template. The experiment was to check out all the variations possible by simply using straight connecting lines on a grid. I found the final principle, almost accidentally, and was amazed by the numerous possibilities.

Both styles where produced to interact. By adjusting the stroke and inline percentages between the 2 typefaces, I had the ability to accomplish a good total color balance between 'Switched On' (dark letters on a light background), and the 'Turned off' design as a knockout treatment (light letters on a dark background). Used in this method, both typefaces aesthetically appear comparable in total weight and percentage. They balance well together.

Used individually, they produce some interesting visual results and headline treatments. The typefaces are best utilized at large point sizes, but they are still clear in a range of smaller sizes. I believe that by exploring with these two fonts one can achieve some spectacular visual results.
