Seminar Pro was created by Philip Bouwsma, Patrick Griffin and published by Canada Type. Symposium Pro consists of 4 styles and family package choices. p > Philip Bouwsma's Seminar Pro is a wide Carolingian script that can be set just or with a wide variety of flourishes. It takes its motivation from the scriptoria of the twelfth century, particularly in Spain, where Christians, Muslims and Jews lived harmoniously in a dazzling culture for two centuries. As manuscripts were equated and copied to satisfy the Western need for classical texts, calligraphic elements from Arabic and Hebrew spread throughout Europe, stimulating a proliferation of brand-new styles that brought the simple book hand to a greater level. Symposium Pro covers a broad variety of time and area, from the court of Charlemagne to the Arabian nights and Renaissance Florence.

Symposium Pro is available in 4 weights, varying from Light to Vibrant, with each font containing over 1200 glyphs. Variations on every letter form, from swashes to subtle alterations, are plenty, with some even having up to 40 alternates. Likewise plenty are the ingrained ornaments and flourishes, over a hundred of them. Keep that glyph palette helpful for numerous pleasant surprises and simple setting services.
