Tautz is an idea driven serif font style household of 5 weights. It is a modern take on the humanist serif with a touch of rationality and frivolity. Tautz began its life as a research into cumulative British design and heritage, as the pursuit of recording "Britishness" without falling into the trap of stereotyping. Tautz is an individual reflection of Mariya V. Pigoulevskaya, resulting in a practical and characterful font family.
Tautz features decreased x-height with an objective to develop stress and resistance on the page or screen for that matter. This neutralizes with the geometric method to the glyph construction and sharpness of serif information, leading to an unique typeface. Font appropriates for text and display. Information consist of five weights, over 470 characters including Cyrillic, ligatures, manually edited kerning and Opentype features.
