TessiePuzzlePieces was developed by Robert Schenk and published by Ingrimayne Type. TessiePuzzlePieces consists of 2 designs and family bundle choices. p > After checking out tessellations for numerous years, I chose to see the number of ways I might tessellate puzzle pieces. I began with a square template and used the exact same unbalanced shape for all 4 edges. By flips or rotation each edge might be suited four ways. Eventually I discovered that, given by doing this of forming tiles, there were 15 distinct shapes that tessellate and these shapes can take an overall of 96 orientations. (A note in the November 2016 issue of Mathematical Gazette has the evidence for the 15 shapes.) This typeface consists of those 15 shapes and 96 orientations. A pdf note here reveals some of the tilings possible utilizing only one shape in a pattern. An unlimited number of patterns are possible if shapes are mixed.

There are two family members, a strong design that needs to have different colors when used and an outline design. They can be used separately or they can be utilized in layers with the outline style on top of the strong design. For rows to line up effectively, leading need to be the very same as point size. (Earlier tessellation font styles from IngrimayneType, the TessieDingies typefaces, do not have a black or filled version so can not do colored patterns.)
