Tomate was created by Ramiro Espinoza and published by Re-Type. Tomate consists of 4 styles and family plan options. p > Tomate started in 2006 as a brush lettering workout for a poster and was later utilized for the ReType identity.

In 2008 its author decided to turn it into an extremely fat typeface appropriate for packaging and mass consumption products.
