Trade Gothic was created by Jackson Burke and published by Linotype. Trade Gothic includes 26 styles and household bundle alternatives. The font is currently # 20 in Best Sellers. p > The very first cuts of Trade Gothic were developed by Jackson Burke in 1948. He continued to deal with more weights and styles until 1960 while he was director of type development for Mergenthaler-Linotype in the USA.

Trade Gothic does not show as much unifying household structure as other popular sans-serif font families, however this harshness adds a bit of earthy naturalism to its appeal. Trade Gothic is often seen in marketing and multimedia in mix with roman text typefaces, and the condensed variations are popular in the newspaper industry for headlines.
